Ossian library to host two events April 23

Kendra Kleve is first and foremost a wife and mother.   She has a passion for writing and dreams of inspiring others with her words. She lives with her husband, Shawn, and their children, Christian and Karissa, in Spillville.

Kleve’s book, “I’d Give You My Life” is a mother’s poetic portrayal of the values she hopes to pass on to her children — happiness, courage, and love.   Her poetry, along with her own photography, will likely evoke emotions in anyone who reads it.

Kleve wrote this poem in 2010 as a legacy to her children. The book was published in October 2012 and has been on sale at Happiness Is Gift Shop in Decorah.

She has been honored by the continuous sales of her book and was honored to be invited to share her book as part of the Ossian Public Library fundraiser.

The local author will be available at the Ossian library for a book signing on Tuesday, April 23, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in conjunction with the coffee fundraiser.

Stop in for a cup of coffee and take this opportunity to greet Kendra, take a look at her book, and purchase a signed copy if you wish.

A coffee tasting will be hosted by K’uun Coffee during that time, as well.

Many of the coffees are available to purchase through the Ossian Public Library Coffee Fundraiser.

The fundraiser will continue until 7 p.m. Friday, April 26.

The fundraiser funds will be used toward the remodeling of the circulation area, make it more accessible to the public.
