Elgin Sweet Corn Day canceled

Due to the wet spring, which delayed the planting of sweet corn, Elgin Sweet Corn Day scheduled for Saturday, July 27, has been canceled. Officials recently learned that sweet corn will not be ready for harvest until sometime in August.

Because of the city street project, the event cannot be rescheduled for a later date.
