Mr. and Mrs. Darren Kraus

…married recently…

Marcy Amundson of Clermont and Darren Kraus of Elgin were united in marriage on Saturday, July 6, at East Clermont Lutheran Church, rural Clermont. The Rev. Bob Oelson of Omaha, Neb., officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.

Marcy is the daughter of John and Heidi Amundson of Clermont. Darren is the son of Curtis and Diane Kraus of Postville.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory A-line gown of metallic taffeta. The bodice, which featured a sweetheart neckline, was asymmetrically ruched and accented with a handmade ivory floral sash embellished with crystals, which were also scattered throughout the pickup skirt. The gown was finished with a corset closure in the back. Marcy carried a clutch bouquet of light and dark coral roses.

The maid of honor was Cassie Frieden, cousin of the bride, of Elgin. Bridesmaids were Kristen Miller of Spencer, Neb., Ashley Arlen of Norfolk, Neb., and Megan Britt of Cedar Falls, friends of the couple; and Kimberly Kraus, sister of the groom, of Postville.

The attendants were attired in chiffon gowns with a sweetheart neckline. One shoulder strap was adorned with chiffon and charmeuse flowers. A charmeuse ruched cummerbund accented the natural waist, and the skirt featured soft front gathers.

Janice Frieden and Marla Metzger were the bride’s personal attendants.

Tom Catterson of Bettendorf served as his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were Craig Livingood and Andy Livingood of Postville, friends of the couple; Keith Amundson of Seattle, Wash., and Clay Amundson of Clermont, brothers of the bride.

The guests were seated by Steve Urlaub, David Urlaub, Isaac Frieden, and Michael Frieden.

Vocalists were Keith Amundson, Scott Erickson, Chad Nelson, and Kevin Schneider. Janet Helgerson provided music on the piano and organ.

Carrie Van Houten and Lane Stewart were seated at the guest book.

After the ceremony a reception and dance were held at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion.
