Watermelon Days parade entries sought

Businesses, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to contact Rick Hofmeyer to sign up parade entries for the annual Watermelon Days parade, which will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.

The weekend will begin Friday, Sept. 6, with an ice-cream social, the crowning of Miss Fayette, Mr. Fayette, and Little Miss and Little Master. The night will be capped off by a street dance featuring D.J. Tommy Friend.

Saturday’s events include a 5K Walk/Run, the parade, food booths, many games, a movie, fireworks, and more.
