NICC Fall Fest set for Thursday

Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) is celebrating the start of the fall semester at the Calmar campus with its Ninth Annual Fall Fest. The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5.

The evening’s festivities feature entertainment the whole family can enjoy, including inflatable rides, carnival games, a dunk tank, train rides, face painting, a balloon artist, and much more.

A live concert by a vocal band called Six Appeal will be performing a cappella music on the NICC Student Center patio from 6 to 7 p.m., as well.

Most activities during the event are free. The carnival games and the inflatable rides will be available for 25 cents each. The activities and meal will be located in the center of campus with parking available nearby.

NICC is hosting this event, along with support from area businesses and organizations.

Pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, bars and pop will be served with a freewill donation accepted. Other food items such as cotton candy, kettlecorn and Moo Mobile shakes will also be available for purchase.
