Services held for former Fayette man

David “Dave” Homewood, age 64, of Luxemburg, died Saturday, August 31, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals.  He was born December 6, 1948, to Harold and Phyllis (Langerman) Homewood in Fayette, Iowa.

Dave graduated from the Fayette High School and served his country in Vietnam.   On October 1, 1983, he was united in marriage with Lois Larson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.  He worked for the Lumber Specialties in Dyersville for many years.

Dave enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, spending time with family and living for the Lord.

He is survived by his wife Lois;  two sons, Cody (Cyndie) Homewood and Brad (Jessica) Homewood  one step-daughter, Deliegha (Jeff) Swanson; six grandchildren, Harper, Holland, Brandon, Charissa, Lois, and Titus, and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles, and one sister, Carolyn.     

Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 207 S. 1st, Guttenberg, IA, where the family received friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, September  6, 2013. Funeral service was at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service at 7:00 PM Friday, September 6, 2013, Pastor Tyler Strickfaden officiated.
