…golden anniversary…
Richard and Ruth Balk of Lawler will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Sunday, Oct. 6. The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Starlite Ballroom in Lawler.
Light refreshments will be served, and music will be provided by the Jim Busta Polka Band.
Hosting the event will be the couple’s children, Diane (Carl) Daugherty, Dan (Katherine) Balk, and Doug (Karen) Balk.
All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
Richard Balk and Ruth Zweibohmer were married Oct. 5, 1963, at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Ossian.
The Balks are retired from farming. In their retirement they enjoy traveling to area towns and auctions, as well as spending time with their eight grandchildren.
Richard and Ruth request no gifts, please, but cards would be welcome.
