Eugene "Jack" Dibble, 92, of Postville, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, Iowa.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at West Clermont Lutheran Church in Clermont with Rev. Dayna Winke as the Officiant.
Interment followed at God’s Acres in Clermont.
Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Postville, Iowa assisted the family with the arrangements.

Eugene "Jack" Ezra Dibble was born June 6, 1921, the son of Ezra Henry and Helen (Wander) Dibble in Clermont. Jack graduated from Clermont High School in 1938. After high school, Jack enlisted in the US Naval Air Corps. He returned home from service and took over the family farm in rural Clermont.
On June 4, 1947, Jack was united in marriage with Ardis Green at the Episcopal Parsonage in Decorah. Four children were born to this union, Zoe Ann, Leon, John Mark and Jay.
Jack was a member of the West Clermont Lutheran Church in Clermont, where he served on the church council. He also served on the Clermont Co-op Board. Jack was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed working on the farm and managing livestock.
Jack is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Ardis of Postville; his daughter, Zoe Ann (Paul) Bankord of Morris, Minnesota; his sons, Leon (Marcia) Dibble of Postville and Jay (Ann) Dibble of Clermont; 10 grandchildren, Michele, Brent, Crissy, Trista, Andrew, Taryn, Cindy, Angie, Chris and Aaron; 12 great-grandchildren, Rainy, John, Jayden, Kade, Wyatt, Hallie, Ellis, Carter, Kyle, Mara, Gloria and Andi; a brother-in-law, Deane Werger and a sister-in-law, Joan Green Nelsen.
Jack was preceded in death by his son, John Mark; a grandson, Travis Dibble; his parents; five sisters and brother-in-laws, De Frances (Lloyd) Edwards, Phyllis (Ronald) Kelley, Lovella (Gordon) Shepard, Helen (Robert) Smith and his twin sister, Jane (Glen) Huffman; brothers-in-law, Roger Green and Glen Green and a sister-in-law, Marilyn (Green) Werger.
