A dual record of 3-2 gave the Warrior wrestling team a third-place finish Saturday at the annual Decorah Dual Invitational with Luis Uribe (138), Chris Brincks (195), and Ethan Kipp (220) collecting honors on the All-Tournament Team for going undefeated for the day. South Winn finished behind Western Dubuque (5-0) and host Decorah (4-1).

Uribe’s honor came with the aid of a pair of forfeited matches, a 10-2 major decision victory of Decorah’s Isaiah Mitchell, a 9-6 win over Tyler Benzing of Waukon. The sophomore also threw Western Dubuque’s Levi Hosch in 3:37.

On the other hand, Brincks made quick work of his opponents, throwing four and winning his fifth match of the day by forfeit. His fastest recorded fall of the day was in 0:21 over Scott Kime of Turkey Valley. He also collected a 0:47 fall over Dawston Regan of Waukon.

Kipp split his matches with a pair of falls over Adam Drew of Waukon and Max Hughes of Postville and a pair of decisions over Western Dubuque’s Dylan Hoefler and Decorah’s Carter Zidlicky. His final win of the day was a forfeit in the dual versus Decorah.
