Lady Warriors run in Decorah

 

 

 

Mother Nature has been winning out of the Lady Warriors when it comes to track. After a week off the competition ovals, the South Winn girls took to the Viking track in Decorah on Thursday evening, finishing seventh in the eight-team field.

Fighting an injury, Abby Phillips still claimed gold in the high jump after clearing 4’10” for the Lady Warriors.

Junior Brittany Shindelar had the best night for the Warrior competitors claiming silver in the shot put with a heave of 35’4” and crossed the 200m dash finish line in 28.62.

Kennidee DeVilbiss earned the final individual top-three finish in the 400m hurdles in 1:12.20.

DeVilbiss, Shindelar, Becca Hertges, and RaeAnn Klimesh combined in the distance medley to finish with a bronze in 4:42.97.
