Backbone to host WC boys Sectional

West Central boys begin the golf playoffs at Backbone Country Club in Strawberry Point on Friday, May 16.

Also competing in the Sectional are eighth-ranked Turkey Valley, Central/Elkader, Ed-Co, Postville, Starmont, Tripoli, and Wapsie Valley.

The top two teams (three, if host Starmont qualifies) and the lowest-scoring individuals will advance to District play on Friday, May 23, at Pheasant Ridge in Cedar Falls.

Competing in Cedar Falls will be the top teams and individuals from the Starmont, North Butler, Belle Plaine and Midland Sectionals.

The top two teams and four individuals will qualify for the State Golf Meet at the American Legion course in Marshalltown on Friday and Saturday, May 30-31.
