Delonis Elaine Humphrey was born July 2, 1946, at Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Daryl LeRoy and Darlene Marie (Taylor) Humphrey.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist Church.

She attended Arlington Public School, and was a member of the last class to walk across the stage at Arlington High School.  She attended Upper Iowa University and then began teaching third grade at West Central School in Randalia.

She married Lee Wescott on August 20, 1966.  Brad Wescott entered into this happy family in 1975.

A variety of jobs occupied her time over the years: the Arlington Post Office, Hofmeyer and Hanson, and the First State Bank in Fayette. All benefitted from her skills.

Over the years, Dee held every possible office at the Methodist Church. She tutored and mentored friends and family.  She showed her love for the Arlington Community by serving on the Library Board, Community Club and as a volunteer EMT.

Since retiring, she loved trips to lush, green Humphrey Hollow.  She recently celebrated her 50th class reunion.

Dee had many obstacles to her health over the years, but fought back with positive attitude and strong faith.  She was known to make amazing treasure hunts for her grandchildren and place happy faces on her notes.  She touched the life of many with her genuine love, kindness, graciousness, generosity and fun loving spirit.

Family members which are happy to know she is watching over them, include her husband, Lee Wescott of Arlington; son, Brad (Camille) Wescott of Los Alamos, New Mexico; 2 grandchildren, Abby and Sam Wescott of Los Alamos, New Mexico; mother, Darlene Humphrey of Arlington; 2 sisters, Janis (Russ) Breitsprecher of Arlington and Myrna (Francis) Krivanek of Ely; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daryl Humphrey.              31u31
