Public invited to judge student designs

North Fayette Valley’s Introduction to Engineering & Design students will get a taste of real life when they present their projects to the public in a setting much like the popular television show, ‘Shark Tank.’

Four student groups will each give a five-minute presentation detailing the process as to how they designed new tables for a fictional coffee shop. The presentation is Thursday, May 28, from 1-1:45 p.m. and open to the public.

Maximum material costs were $200 per table, and the table must have a modular design, which interlocks for stability. Anyone participating Thursday, will be invited to ask questions on their decisions and can then vote to choose the best design. The presentations will take place in the Performing Arts Center at the high school in West Union.
