Golfers do well at State Co-Ed

NFV sent a pair of teams to the State Co-Ed Golf Tournament Tuesday, June 6, at the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown.
At the State Co-Ed, NFV competes in Class 1A. School may send two teams apiece.
A doubles team from Clear Lake won the tourney with a 72. A team from New Hampton placed third, and one from Clayton Ridge was fourth.
For the TigerHawks, the duo of Callie Lembke and Chase Hollinrake shot a 79, earning them a four-way tie for 10th.
Molly Wenthold and Noah Koch combined for an 81, tying them for 16th in the 53-team field.
Coach Derek Heins said afterwards, “It was a great day in Marshalltown. Both of our teams played very well and placed well against some top-notch competition.”
