Nicole Haywood and Bob Olson of Phoenix, Ariz., exchanged wedding vows in a 4 p.m. ceremony on Sunday, May 28, at Prairie Moon Winery in Ames. The Rev. Corey Larson officiated.

Parents of the bride are Charlie and Linda Haywood of Union. Parents of the groom are Mick and Mary Olson of Postville.

Grandparents of the bride are Richard and Leona Smith of Cedar Rapids and Arvin and Carolyn Haywood of Union. Grandfather of the groom is Bob Heffern of Waukon.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an off-the-shoulder ivory gown featuring a lace overlay and train. She carried a bouquet of pale pink hydrangeas, succulents and roses.

Bridesmaids were Jessica Bane, Kathryn Schiefelbein, Kate Rose Russel, Julia Trausch and Hope Zefran.

Mahayla Bernadine Hanson, Bob’s niece, was the flower girl.

Groomsmen were Drew Lensch, Sawyer Stecher, Tyler Schori, Colin Duffy and Colin Shiver.  

Joel Hanson and Ben Butler seated the guests.  

Pianist Kevin Bane provided the music, and readers were Megan Hanson and Annie Butler.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Eldora-New Providence High School. She graduated in 2014 from Iowa State University, where she earned her degree in statistics. She is employed as an operations analyst at LearnVest.

The groom graduated from Valley High School in 2010. He earned his degree in construction engineering at Iowa State University in 2014. He is currently employed by Ryan Construction Company as a project engineer.
