WC Blue Devils to open season Friday night

The West Central Blue Devils football team will open its season at 7 p.m. Friday night, Aug. 18, with a week zero battle against the Springville Orioles. At halftime, West Central will recognize teams that made it to the Iowa State Football Championship game, including the 1997 state champion Blue Devils that went 13-0. Seniors opening play for the Blue Devils this season are (l-r) Adam Michels, Ty Ingels and Collin Kime.
