Christmas in Calmar ahead
The Christmas season is nearly here! What better way to ring in the holiday season than by partaking in the “Christmas in Calmar” activities from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7?
The following activities, which are sponsored by the Calmar Community Club, will be available in downtown Calmar:
- Snacks in the town square (sponsored by Al’s Country Meat Locker);
- Snacks at Heying Lumber (sponsored by Buchheit Appliance);
- Cookies and cider (at Bullwhacker Logistics);
- Christmas train, Christmas bags, and letters to Santa at Wiltgen Construction (sponsored by Calmar Community Club);
- Book and coloring pages give-a-way, food and drink (at Calmar Courier);
- Chicken noodle soup in the town square (sponsored by Calmar Fire Department);
- Cookie decorating (at Calmar Library basement);
- Christmas Train (sponsored by Calmar Lions);
- Caramel corn (sponsored by City of Calmar at entry of library);
- Photo opportunities (Wiltgen Building) and snacks in the town square (sponsored by Drillings All-Season Sports);
- Candy tractors (at Economy Ag);
- Live Nativity scene by CFSR students with animals courtesty of Joe Andera (at Economy Ag);
- Roaming elves (sponsored by Grassmasters);
- Christmas goodies and Anne’s Dancers from 6 – 6:30 p.m. (at Gundersen Clinic);
