Linda L. Yauslin, 70, of West Union, Iowa died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union. 

Linda Lou, the daughter of Irvin and Lucille (Otters) Holder, was born Feb. 24, 1947 in West Union.  

She was baptized and confirmed at Holy Name Catholic Church in West Union. 

She attended Holy Name Parochial School and North High School.

Linda was united in marriage with Roger Lee Yauslin on Sept. 12, 1964 at Holy Name Catholic Church. 

She worked at Elsheimer Meat Packing Plant, Anderson Variety Store, and she was a cook at North High School for many years. 

Linda lived in the West Union area her entire life.

Linda was a lifelong member of Holy Name Catholic Church.  

She loved to bake pies, cakes and was well known for her potato salad. She loved to collect clocks and has a few special ones. Some of her hobbies include staining glass and photography. Linda always kept busy at home, baking, cleaning and tinkering with things. She also enjoyed having garage sales with her sister, Norma Cox.

Linda is survived by her husband, Roger, of West Union, Iowa; twin sisters, Darlene Tope and Diane Brink, both of Ames, Iowa; one brother; brother-in-law, Art Cox; and other brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Lucille Holder; and two sisters, Norma Cox and Arlene Jermeland. 

   A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at Holy Name Catholic Church in West Union, Iowa. Rev. Don Komboh was the celebrant.

Interment was held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, West Union, Iowa following the burial Mass. 

Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Services of West Union, Iowa assisted the family with arrangements.           2u2
