Maple Crest Manor, 98 Bolger Drive in Fayette, is hosting it’s first every Job Fair, Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

They are looking to hire people in every department, including Dietary, Nursing and Housekeeping. There will be open interviews and applicants will be able to tour the facilities. Childcare will be available and refreshments will be served.

“We’re just hoping to get people in the door,” said Assisted Living Director and Director of Community Relations Angie Vagts.

She said positions are available in every unit and every department. The Maple Crest Campus is made up of three units: Maple Crest Nursing Home, The Maples Assisted Living, and Maple Memory Lane Memory Care Assisted Living.

“We continue to grow and have more opportunities available,” Vagts went on to explain.

She said full and part-time positions are available as well as flexible plans and even weekend package options. “We’re going to work with those who apply,” Vagts said.

She said they would also welcome high school or college students as candidates.

“We can pay for CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) training and the boards cost. So this also is an opportunity to further one’s education. We work with a lot of students from Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar and we are willing to work around their schedules,” Vagts pointed out.

She said they don’t know what to expect in terms of numbers, “We just want a lot of interested, motivated people. We’re inviting them all to stop in and learn,” she said.
