Mark E. Wulfekuhle, 60, of Fayette, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union.

Memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fayette with Rev. Donald Komboh celebrating. Inurnment follow ed at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Cemetery, rural Fayette. Visitation preceded the Mass on Thursday starting at 9 a.m.. Mark Edmund, son of David and Margaret “Peg” (Power) Wulfekuhle was born February 8, 1961, at the West Union Hospital. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fayette. Mark received his education in the Fayette Schools and graduated from Fayette High School in 1980. While in high school, he participated in several athletics. Mark was a life long resident of Fayette and has been employed by Fayette County for the past twenty years. In addition to his employment with Fayette County, he also helped his brother, Tim in the kitchen at DTS Pub. He was a fan of the Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Twins, and Iowa Hawkeyes. Mark had a very selfless personality, and showed that by helping anyone in need.

Mark is survived by his brothers, Tim (Nancy) Wulfekuhle of Fayette, Steve Wulfekuhle of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Patrick (Gina) Wulfekuhle of Henderson, Nevada, and James (Veena) Wulfekuhle of Powder Springs, Georgia; seven nephews; three nieces; and good friend, Duane Wagner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike; and several aunts and uncles.
