Bennett is new Elgin City Administrator

Craig Bennett has been named the new Elgin city administrator.

Bennett’s hiring was announced at the regular Elgin City Council meeting Monday, June 21.

Bennett is currently the general manager at Valley Fresh grocery store in Elgin.

“I’m looking forward to this new opportunity. It should be exciting,” Bennett said.

He starts his new position on July 5.
