Wilbur Nading

The family of Wilbur Nading is hosting an open house to honor Wilbur on his 90^th birthday.

The celebration will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1-3 p.m. at Stoney Brook Village in West Union.

Sarah Jacobs and Erik Strege of Des Moines exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. Paul Carlin, friend of the bride, officiated at the ceremony, which was held at Jester Park in Granger.

Parents of the couple are Marty and Tina Jacobs of West Union, Dave and Jen Strege of Winterset, and Kristy Jacobs of Stockton, Calif.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Griffin

Michaela Pape and Scott Griffin of Eldridge were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 26. The 3:30 p.m. ceremony took place at Heartland Acres in Independence. The Rev. Justin Wetering officiated.

Parents of the couple are Brice and Kim Pape of Maynard and Phil and Jacque Griffin of New Sharon.

Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Coomes

Katlin Kleve and Ryan Coomes exchanged wedding vows in a 2 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 19, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Clermont. The Rev. Jim Brokman was the celebrant.

Parents of the couple are Bruce and Sharon Kleve of Clermont and Terry and Rachelle Coomes of Johnston.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Amundson

Roger and Lois Amundson of Clermont will celebrate 60 years of marriage on Oct. 22.  The couple were married Oct. 22, 1955.

Darold “D.A.” Martin of West Union will celebrate his 96^th birthday on Sunday, Oct. 4.

He has lived in West Union for 86 years, making many friends and acquaintances throughout the years.
