1964 Valley class reunion

Opera House performance rescheduled

      The performance of pianist Abbie Brewer originally scheduled for Friday, Feb. 9, at the Fayette Opera House has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 15. The free listen and learn event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Miss Clermont candidates 

      Clermont Community Club is currently seeking candidates for Miss Clermont 2024-25. Candidates must be from the Clermont area and a resident of Fayette County. All young ladies between the ages of 16-21 are encouraged to apply.

Chamber 9-pin tournament

Registration begins at 11 a.m., with the competition starting at noon. A second round of bowlers will follow at 3 p.m., and if needed a third shift to begin at 6 p.m. All proceeds benefit the West Union Main Street Chamber and its community efforts.

KC Bowling Tournament 

      The Knights of Columbus Youth Bowling Tournament will be held Sunday at Lilac Lanes in West Union. 

Elgin musical rehearsals March 7

      Elgin’s 2024 Homecoming Celebration will again include a musical performance by local residents. Rehearsals will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Elgin Public Library. All who are interested in participating are invited to come.

Card tournaments at fairgrounds

      The Fayette County Ag Society will host a poker and euchre tournament in the dance pavilion at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in West Union Saturday. Registration for the euchre players will begin at 10 a.m., with the tournament to follow at 11 a.m. Poker registration is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., with the first hand to be dealt at 3 p.m.
