“The girls are continuing to work on improving their games,” said South Winneshiek volleyball coach Darcy Einck after a busy week on the court. “This weekend, I started to really see a team that is meshing together and working toward its goals.”
Turkey Valley
The Warriors saw their first action of the week Thursday in Jackson Junction as they took on Turkey Valley.
The Warriors were victorious in consecutive sets, winning 25-16, 25-21, and 28-26, to sweep the Trojans.
“The victory over Turkey Valley was a great win for us,” noted Einck. “We had a number of girls step up their game and play very consistent and strong.”
Senior Abby Hageman had nine kills to lead the red and white, while fellow senior Christina Nesvik was responsible for two of the team’s four blocks.
